Father teaching girls team lacrosse

Little Laxers (k-2)

We're excited as we evolve our beginner program to better prepare our newest players for the sport of lacrosse. For new players, this is the perfect introduction as we practice fundamental basics in a fun environment. Our primary goal is to teach the basic skills required to play lacrosse. This includes learning how to cradle, pass, catch, ground ball, and shoot.

We will gift you a new lacrosse stick to help minimize cost while trying something new!

Program Structure:

  • Boys and Girls will have their own practice session which will allow for an environment that supports the players and allows for tailored coaching
  • 2nd Grade, and/or kids with club experience, will have additional skill training and will be introduced to short-field games play

3/4 Lacrosse Teams

Our primary goal is to teach 3rd and 4th graders the basic skills required to play lacrosse. This includes learning how to cradle, pass, catch, ground ball, and shoot. We will break down these skills into manageable, age-appropriate drills to ensure that every player can grasp the fundamentals. In addition to the fundamentals of lacrosse, players will learn field positions, game rules, and introductory game strategies through practice and game play.

5/6 Lacrosse Teams

Our primary goal is to refine the basic skills required to play lacrosse and start to introduce new offensive and defensive strategies to game play. In addition, for seasoned players, coaches will look to train in specific positions.

7/8 Lacrosse Teams

Our primary goal is to continue building off the goals set in 5/6 lacrosse, including competence in fundamental lacrosse skills. Once players exhibit continuity in those skills, coaches will look to advance beyond the basics to prepare the players for the high school level.
